199. Blanche EGERTON was born on 3 Aug 1868 in Warren Co., NC. She died on 22 Aug 1938 in Warren Co., NC.

She was married to William Edward "Billie" DAVIS on 6 Jan 1898. William Edward "Billie" DAVIS was born on 15 Jun 1858 in Fork Township, Warren Co., NC. He died on 3 Oct 1936 in Fork Township, Warren Co., NC. He was a Farmer, Sheriff Of Warren Co.. Graduated Louisburg College. (Taught by his oldest brother, Matt hew.)
Medal winner at Chicago Worlds Fair 1892 for Cotton. Medal winne r at North Carolina State Fair for his display of the leaves o f North Carolina trees, each carved from the wood of that tree . This display is still at Lake of the Woods. He moved one roo m of the old, original house at Lake of the Woods and joined i t to the present house as an attached kitchen. His descendants s till live in the manor house. When the Sheriff of Warren Count y died in about 1895 Billy was appointed to fill the unexpired t erm. He did not seek reelection, nor did he ever run for any off ice. Blanche EGERTON and William Edward "Billie" DAVIS had the following children:
