36. Harriet Willie HARTON ⁽¹⁾ was born in 1820 in Springfield, Robertson Co., TN. She died on 18 May 1855 in Cleburne Co., Arkansas.

She was married to Theodore Hinton GOODLOE on 4 May 1836 in Marshall Co, MS. This information comes from a listing of marriages in Marshall Co., MS between 1836 and 1860. M. Marshall was the official. The license was obtained 3 May 1836, and $200 bond was posted to Charles Lynch, Gov of MS. Wm T. Goodall witness. The notice ccalls her Harriett W. Hasten--or at least the transcription did. Theodore Hinton GOODLOE⁽¹⁾ was born on 28 Apr 1806 in Franklin Co, NC. He died on 13 Feb 1897 in Bridgeport, TX. In 1840 Theodore was in Marshall Co., MS. By 1849 he paid poll tax in VanBuren Co., AR, had ten slaves worth 5000 2 horses worth $60 one mule over 12 worth $40, 3 cattle worth $30. John Horton paid one poll ttax and 6 slaves worth $1600 l horse $35, 5 Cattle $30. In 1851 no Goodloe, J. J. Horton paid one poll tax had 5 slaves worth 1800, 2 horses worth 55, 5 cattle $50. 1852 Goodloe, TH paid poll tax 12 slaves $4500 one horse $45 no cattle. In 1855 no Goodloe, JJHarton one poll tax.Harton had 320 acres worth $960. 5 slaves worth $2500, 3 horses $180 8 cattle $80.
In 1859 Theodore sold his land in Van Buren Co to Jesse A. Pearson reserving one and a half acres for a churchhouse and graveyard. Signed deed 25 Jan 1859. In 1860 Census they are living in White Co., AR in Kentucky Twonship Post Office Velvet Ridge. With them is a W. H. Hicks age 25 MD worth 150 born in MS. Harriet is dead but W. H. O.S. and J.J. are listed as students by occupation. Harriet Willie HARTON and Theodore Hinton GOODLOE had the following children:
