| This was sent by Delores Gandy who has contributed much to this web site and always comes through when we need help with questions about Pegram descendants in Guilford and Forsyth Co., North Carolina. We are trying to determine the father of Henry J. Pegram who married Eliza Goolsby in in Rockingham Co., North Carolina on Feb 24, 1856. He is on the 1860 Census in Guilford Co., North Carolina but dies before 1870. His wife is buried in Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery in Guilford Co., North Carolina and her tombstone reads "wife of Henry J. ". She was born 10 January 1826 and died 29 July 1907. Since the marriage was in Rockingham Co., the logical choice for the father of Henry J. is Daniel Asbury but he is not living with Daniel Asbury on the 1850 Census. We hope that a descendant of Henry J. Pegram and wife Eliza A. Goolsby will see this marriage license and contact us if they know the parents of this Henry J. Pegram. |
