16. Sir Thomas EGERTON was born in 1540 in Cheshire, England. He died on 15 Mar 1617 in Doodleston, England. He was a Lord High Chancellor Of England. Sir Thomas, Lord Ellesmere, was Solicitor General 1581, attorne y general 1592, master of the rolls 1594, lord keeper of the gre at seal 1596, Created Baron of Ellesmere in 1603 . He was Quee n Elizabeth 's Lord Keeper and became Lord High Chancellor 24 Ju ly 1603 in the reign of James I. Named Viscount BRACKLEY 27 MAY1 616.

Sir Thomas EGERTON and Elizabeth RAVENSCROFT had the following children:

He was married to Alice SPENCER in 1600. Alice SPENCER died on 16 Jan 1636. She was born in Harfield, County Middlesex, England. Alice was a relative of the poet Spencer who wrote"Faerie Queen"
