He was captured at Frederick, Maryland on September
12-13, 1862 and confined at Fort Delaware, Delaware.
He was paroled on October 2, 1862 in a prisoner exhenge.
He returned to duty in July or August 1863 and was
captured again at Kelly's Ford, Virginia on November 7,
1863. This time he was confined at Pt. Lookout,
Maryland from November 11, 1863 to April 27, 1864, when
he was again a part of a prisoner exchange. He
returned to duty on August 31, 1864. He was
wounded in the left arm at Petersburg, Virginia in
January 1865 and was hospitalized in Richmond until
furloughed on February 11, 1865. We are indebted
