Referenced in "The Barrow Family of Virginia 1620-1972" by Mae Belle Barrow North. Buried in the Manson family cemetery just across the road from the Pelham United Methodist Church in Pleasant Shade. The children of 'Etta" and Tom Manson were apparently born on 100 acres acquired from his father in 1898 and situated just west of the property on which "Bleak House" was built where were born the following children of Captain Manson: Tom, Matilda (Til), Lucy, Dick, Willie, and Lottie according to a letter written by his father Joseph Richard Manson on October 20, 1913 from his home on Route 616 in Brunswick County.
Newspaper clipping relating miscellaneous genealogical data about the Mansons states that she and her husband are buried in Pelham Methodist Church Cemetery but is erroneous, the cemetery being along side the road across from the Pelham Church.
Birth and death dates are listed on 1919 family photo, as are most of the children and her husband.
