In 1900 and 1910 she is found living with her son, Robert Batte Jones. The 1900 census indicates she has had only one child but the 1870 Census shows another son, Walter Scott Jones, born about 1867. Apparently the younger son died in childhood.
Elizabeth married Dr. Edward Thomas Jones 1 son of Edward Henry Jones and Elizabeth Finney Bott. Edward was born 2 on 13 Nov 1819 in Amelia Co., Virginia.
He was the grandson of Robert Edward Jones and Ann Ward. Family sources show he was born in Virginia but in 1910, Robert Batte Jones shows his father was born in Alabama.

During the Civil War he served with Co. A., Mississippi Mounted Infantry.
In 1880, the couple were living with her parents where Robert Batte Jones is identified as a son-in-law.
Robert married Carrie Matilda Carr daughter of John F. Carr and Arabella on 3 Sep 1874 in Polk Co., Texas. Carrie was born 1, 2, 3 on 18 Jul 1852 in Texas. She died in 1931.
Family records show the couple had other children who died young without issue but the 1900 census shows the couple have been married for 26 years. It says they have had 3 children, all living. The 3 children are still at home. We have used the birthdates taken from family sources since the 1900 census has obvious errors.

Pioneer Woman is Dead at Smithfield
Mrs. Carrie M. Jones Dies After a Short Illness at age of 78."Mrs. Carrie M. Jones, 78 years of age, a pioneer citizen of Polk County, died Monday, February 2 at Smithfield at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lelia La Follette. She had been sick only a short time, hence her death came as a shock to her relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at the home February 3 by Rev. P. P. Dawson, pastor of the Presbyterian churches at Livingston and New Willard. Burial was at the family cemetery near Smithfield, in the presence of many friends and relatives. Mrs. Jones is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Munson, Mrs. Lelia La Follette, and Mrs. Pearl Wiggins, 12 grandchildren and six great - grandchildren.
Mrs. Jones was born at Smithfield July 18, 1852. She had lived in this county practically all her life and at the time of her death was living on the same estate where she had been born.
Her father, Capt. John F. Carr, and her mother came to Texas from Memphis, Tennessee in the early days when Texas was still a republic. So Mrs. Jones learned from her parents much about pioneer life in Texas and heard stories of Gen. Sam Houston, Burnett, Austin and other statesmen with whom her father was personally acquainted.
She was educated chiefly by private teachers on the plantation, also attending, for a time, a school conducted for girls on Galveston Bay, by Mrs. A. G. A. Beazley.
September 3, 1874 she was married to Robert B. Jones. They had eight children, four of whom died in infancy. The eldest son, Robert, died in 1903. Mr. Jones died a little over two years ago.

Carrie married (1) Stephen E. Tullos on 6 Jul 1907. Stephen was born 1 on 30 Dec 1879 in Texas. He died 2 on 30 Oct 1915 in Polk Co., Texas. He was buried 3 in Oates Cemetery, Polk Co., Texas. Carrie married (2) Wiggins.

At the time of the 1900 Census she is found living with her grandfather, James H. Ferguson.
Her birthdate is given as March 1882 on the 1900 census but her parents were not married until 1883, if her mother was Eliza Ferguson.
Sallie married 1 Rev. Eugene Hume Powell son of Albert Theodore Powell and Louisa Jones Thweatt on 30 Nov 1904 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. Eugene was born 2, 3 on 10 Jul 1872 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. He died 4 on 17 Sep 1926 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia.
They had the following children:

Although we do not have documentation, the middle initial "S" in his children's names would seem to be Scott which supports that Henry Field was the child of the first marriage of Thomas Field to Martha Scott.
Henry married 1 Mary Jane Bates in 1835. Mary was born 2, 3 in 1814 in Alabama. She died 4 in 1895.
In 1860 Mary Jane was a widow. Her 6 younger children remain at home. In 1880 she is found living with her son, Scott Field, in Robertson Co., Texas.
