The Boisseau family is indeed fortunate to have extensive records preserved by the family since their first arrival on the American continent. They have also had many family menbers who have preserved their records through the generations. The Boisseau information on this entire line is due to those current members of the family who have generously shared their research. Notably, the information on the Boisseau line is taken from records by Beth Bond and Lee Jacobsen unless otherwise noted. At the same time, we are indebted to the research of James Rives Childs who published Reliques of the Rives (Ryves) in 1929. When we needed to compare his records with current Boisseau family records, Robert Thomas generously scanned appropiate pages from the book and sent them to us in the middle of the Christmas holiday season. It was a real Christmas present since it helped us get the line sorted out.

They had the following children:

520 M i William H. Booth was born 1 about 1800 in Amelia Co., Virginia.

He was of age when his father died.
521 F ii Martha Elizabeth Booth was born in 1823.

125. Edward Henry Pegram 1 (George , Edward , Daniel , George ) was born 2 in 1783 in Cedar Green, Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. He died 3 in Oct 1856 in Petersburg, Independant City, Virginia.

He is age 67 on 1850 census of Dinwiddie Co., VA. Apparently Edward Henry Pegram and his wife lived briefly in SC because the 1850 census of Dinwiddie Co., VA. shows that William Edward was born in SC while the other children show they were born in VA.

Notice of his death in local newspapers in 1856 say he was "Clerk of Centre Market" and was found dead in bed.

Edward married Rebecca Scott daughter of Capt. William Scott and Ann Mason. Rebecca was born about 1780 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. She died before 1850.

She does not appear on the 1850 census.

Edward and Rebecca had the following children:

522 F i Rebecca Winfield Pegram was born in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia.

She is not shown on 1850 census in the household of her father.
523 M ii George Edward Pegram was born about 1821.
524 F iii Lucy E. Pegram 1 was born about 1821 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia.

In 1860 and 1880 she is found living with her sister, Mary E. Pegram Smithey, where she is identified as sister-in-law. She was still single in 1860 but is named as Lucy Roach in 1880.
        Lucy married Roach.
525 F iv Mary Ann Pegram was born about 1825.
526 M v William Edward Pegram was born about 1828 in South Carolina.

128. Edward Pegram (Baker , Edward , Daniel , George ) was born on 14 Jan 1778 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. He died on 10 Apr 1824 in Brunswick Co., Virginia.

Edward married Rebecca Harper daughter of Nathaniel Harper and Unknown on 24 Jun 1799 in Brunswick Co., Virginia. Rebecca was born on 28 Sep 1777 in Brunswick Co., Virginia. She died on 8 May 1850 in Limestone Co., Alabama.

Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Harper and Susannah Malone.

Susan married Wilkins Andrews on 14 Dec 1805 in Brunswick Co., Virginia.

He served during the War of 1812 in the 62 Regt. (Selden's) Virginia Militia.

Wilkins and Susan had the following children:

  534 F i Daughter Andrews.

The writing on the 1850 Census appears to show the name as Iam but it could also be Jane. It also seems the wife as shown on the 1850 may be from a second marriage based on her age of 40 and children with a different surname.
Daughter married Richard Frazer (Frazier). Richard was born 1 in 1815 in Virginia.
