Phillip apparently made and lost many fortunes in his lifetime. He had candy shops, butcher shops and restaurants and would go from being wealthy to broke many times--apparently from lavish spending.
Witnesses to his marriage to Nancy Harton on Jun 29, 1887 (Book 4, p. 32) were Timothy Robey and Jesse L. Ramsey.
In the 1920 Logan Co. Kentucky census, only Geneva (19 years. old) was living at home. At the time, Phillip's occupation was listed as "butcher, own shop".
