331. Sarah Harton 1, 2 (Gideon Harton , Sarah Pegram , Daniel , Daniel , George ) was born 3 in 1812 in Warren Co., North Carolina.
They apparently had no children. There is a Joseph Pardue, age 22, living with them on 1850 census which could possibly be Solomons's son by a prior marriage.
Sarah married Solomon Perdue 1, 2, 3 on 12 Dec 1826 in Warren Co., North Carolina. Solomon was born 4, 5 in 1802 in Warren Co., North Carolina. He died on 18 Mar 1869.
In 1860, their daughter Elizabeth Clark was living on one side of them and their son Joseph was living on the other side.
His will dated 8 December 1862 and probated in March Court 1869 in Warren Co., North Carolina names his wife Sarah and 2 children, Joseph H. and Elizabeth A. Clarke.
They had the following children:

In 1870, George and Jane were still single and living at home.

Druscilla married 3 William Bragg 1, 2 on 24 Dec 1839 in Warren Co., North Carolina. William was born 4 in 1817 in Virginia. He died 5 on 25 Jul 1863 in Chattanooga, Hamilton Co., Tennessee. William was employed 6 as carpenter in 1850 in Warren Co., Iowa.
The following note was sent by Steve Terry, a decendant of William Bragg and Drucilla Harton. It was Steve's research that uncovered the error.
William Bragg, husband of Drucilla Harton apparently is not the son of Thomas Bragg and Margaret Crossland. It appears there are two William Braggs from this time period. The William Bragg, son of Thomas Bragg did die in Chattanooga in 1863 (source Live of Distinguished North Carolinians, p. 306). However, the William Bragg who married Drucilla Harton is found alive and well in Granville County, Brassfields District in the 1870 census. According to the 1880 census, Drucilla lived with her daughter Mary and her husband Nicholas H Stainback. The marriage records do show William and Drucilla marrying in Warren County in 1838 and living there in 1850. Who William Bragg's parents are is still a mystery.

The 1900 Census gives his date of birth as December 1830. I shows the couple have been married for 47 years. They have had 9 children with 6 living.
Robert married 1 Priscilla Jones Clark daughter of John Clark and Mary on 20 Jun 1852 in Warren Co., North Carolina. Priscilla was born 2, 3 on 2 Feb 1833 in Warren Co., North Carolina. She died on 9 May 1910 in Warren Co., North Carolina.
She is identified as the daughter of John Clark in his Will dated 21 January 1850 and recorded in Will Book 41, Page 30, Warren Co., North Carolina.

The 1850 census shows his age as 30 which would make his birth date 1820 and the 1880 cents this gives his age as 60. Other sources have given his birth date as 1814.
Benjamin married Mary Jane Prewitt ( Prewett) on 7 Oct 1841 in Madison Co., Tennessee. Mary was born 1, 2 in 1824 in Virginia.

The 1880 Census shows has occupation as a "druggist." A newspaper article published in the State Gazette on January 20, 1883 states that " Mack Harton is putting up a business house at the railroad depot."Machlin married 1 Lula Landis on 11 Feb 1874 in Madison Co, Tennessee. Lula was born 2 about 1861 in Tennessee. 1476 M v James Edward Harton was born on 21 Nov 1849. 1477 M vi Robert Harton 1. Robert married Jennie Edwards on 20 Dec 1881 in Dyer Co., Tennessee. 1478 F vii Luanna Harton was born in 1857. 1479 M viii Benjamin V. Harton 1 was born 2 on 20 Jan 1866 in Dyer Co., Tennessee. He died on 8 May 1890 in Dyer Co., Tennessee. He was buried in City Cemetery, Dyersburg, Dyer Co., Tennessee.
342. John L. Harton (John P. Harton , Sarah Pegram , Daniel , Daniel , George ) was born 1, 2 on 8 Jun 1822 in Madison Co., Tennessee. He died 3 on 12 Jan 1898.
His obituary published in the Nashville Christian Advocate on Sept. 15, 1898 reads in part: J. L. HARTON son of Rev. J. P. Harton born Huntsville, Ala., June 8, 1822; died Madison Co., Tenn., Jan. 12, 1898; member of Ebenezer Church.
Note that his obituary shows he was born in Huntsville, Alabama.
John married Catherine (Christiana) B. McKnight on 8 Jun 1843 in Madison Co., Tennessee. Catherine was born 1 in 1822 in Tennessee.
Her name appears as Christiana on the 1850 Census of Madison Co., Tennessee.

Harton, born Dec. 31, 1856; died May 13, 1898; invalid for fifteen years.1486 F vii Ellen R. Harton was born 1, 2 in Jun 1859 in Madison Co., Tennessee. Ellen married (1) John Hardin son of Moses Hardin and Frances. John was born 1 in 1851 in Tennessee. Ellen married (2) Joseph B. Pearson in 1899 in Madison Co., Tennessee. Joseph was born 1 in Apr 1848 in Tennessee.
The 1900 Census shows the couple have been married for 11 months. Joseph was a minister. Living with the couple in 1900 were the neices of Ellen Harton, i.e.: Etta, C. Essie M., Nannie and ?, the children of John J. Harton and wife, Elizabeth who were deceased. They were living next door to the family of her brother, Andrew J. Harton and wife Lucy.
343. Sarah A. E. Harton (John P. Harton , Sarah Pegram , Daniel , Daniel , George ) was born 1, 2 about 1823 in Alabama. She died before 1870 in Nacogdoches Co., Texas.
In 1870, Claibourne had remarried. Sarah probably died in childbirth after the birth of their youngest son.
Sarah married Claibourne Weaver on 20 Jul 1843 in Jackson, Madison Co., Tennessee. Claibourne was born 1, 2, 3 about 1817 in Tennessee.
They had the following children:

In 1850, she is found living beside her brother, John L. Harton. The name on the 1850 census is written as Covington but family sources have given the name as Carrington. In 1880 she is found living with her son Charles Carrington in Madison Co., Tennessee.
Her tombstone inscription Ridge1827-1879 but she appears on the 1880 Census.
Judith married William Carrington on 4 Jun 1842 in Jackson, Madison Co., Tennessee. William died before 1850.
They had the following children:
