Robert served in WWII in Africa and Italy. He retired from Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company.

Robert married Celia Geraldine Lasater ¹ daughter of Eugene Paul Lasater and Lou Rena Granger on 14 Jul 1941. Celia was born on 17 Dec 1919 in Palmer, Texas. She died on 24 Jul 2004 in Dallas, Texas.

Her obituary from the Dallas Morning News on July 27, 2004, reads in part as follows:

Pegram, Celia, Geraldine, loving wife and mother, passed away July 24, 2004. Born Dec. 17, 1919 in Palmer, TX to Eugene Paul & Lou Rena (Granger) Lasater, she married Robert Lee Pegram on July 14, 1941. Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Mrs. Pegram is survived by her children, Robert Bruce Pegram and Janis Pegram Fletcher & husband Larry Tey; grandchildren, Robin Diane Salois & husband Sean & Collin Ray Fletcher; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan & Noah Salois. A longtime member of Elmwood United Methodist Church, as well as Loyal Chapter # 648- Order of the Eastern Star, Mrs. Pegram enjoyed cooking and needlepoint. Employed with Southwestern Drug during the war years, she later worked for Jas K. Wilson. Funeral Service is 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville. Burial will follow at Little Bethel Cemetery.
