According to her mother's probate records, her children, Susan, Dorson and Henry Buchanan, were living in Ballard Co., Kentucky in 1873.
Martha married 1 James C. Buchanan on 5 Dec 1829 in Warren Co., North Carolina. James was born 2 in 1805 in Warren Co., North Carolina. He died in 1873 in Kentucky.
In 1860, hey are found in Christian Co., Kentucky, living next door to Martha's aunt, Rebecca Rives Southall. There are no children in the home. We know their children late moved to Ballard Co., Kentucky and it is assumed that they went also.

2324. Charles Jones Mabry 1, 2 (Anne (Nancy) Rives , William McGuffy Rives , Thomas Henry Rives , Mary Pegram , Daniel , George ) was born on 5 Apr 1817 in Warren Co., North Carolina. He died on 15 Apr 1882 in Carlisle Co., Kentucky.
One source give his birth place as Montgomery Co., Tennessee but there is no evidence that his parents ever left Warren County, North Carolina for any extended period of time and all the rest of his siblings show they were born in North Carolina. The error may have been based on the fact that his wife was born in Tennessee.
Charles married Judy Catherine Sallee 1, 2 daughter of Asahel Sallee and Nancy Garrett on 6 Feb 1844. Judy was born on 4 Feb 1826 in Montgomery Co., Tennessee. She died in Christian Co., Kentucky.
The 1910 Miracode Index for Carlisle Co., Kentucky shows Catherine (sp) age 84. Living with her are her sister, Martha Salee, age 89 and her 2 unmarried children, W. J. age 49 and Mildred, age 51.

Family sources have given her birthdate as 1820 but the 1850 Census shows her to be age 24 and the 1860 Census shows her age to be 34 which would indicate she was born about 1826.
Ellen married 1 Henry H. Turner son of Henry Turner and Elizabeth Duke on 1 Jan 1844 in Warren Co., North Carolina. Henry was born 2, 3, 4, 5 on 19 Jun 1819 in Warren Co., North Carolina. He died on 3 Feb 1906 in Ballard Co., Kentucky.

Turner was born 1, 2, 3, 4 on 9 Sep 1851 in Ballard Co., Kentucky. He died 5 on 11 Jul 1942 in Ballard Co., Kentucky.
In 1920 he is found living with his sister, Martha (Mattie) Wray.6431 M vi Augustine Walter (Gus) Turner was born on 11 Jun 1853. He died on 22 Jul 1933. 6432 M vii Samuel E. Turner was born in 1856. He died on 25 Jan 1944. 6433 M viii Durrell (Urel) Turner was born 1, 2, 3 on 8 May 1859 in Kentucky. He died 4 on 1 Jun 1935 in Ballard Co., Kentucky.
He is shown as Durill on the 1860 Census, Darell on the 1870 Census and Urel on the 1880 Census. His death certificate shows his name as Durell F. Turner. In 1920 he is still single and found living with his brother, Leonard S. Turner.6434 M ix Leonard S. Turner was born 1, 2, 3 in 1864 in Kentucky. Leonard married Emma. Emma was born 1 in 1891 in Missouri. 6435 M x James C. Turner was born 1, 2, 3 in 1866 in Kentucky.
He appears on the 1880 Census but was missing from the 1870 Census. In 1900 he is found as widow living with his sister, Mattie Wray but then marries again before 1920.James married Luler. Luler was born 1 in 1867 in Alabama.

Stephen married (1) Martha R. Tunstall 1 daughter of George Washington Tunstall and Lucy Brown on 16 Apr 1850 in Warren Co., North Carolina. Martha was born 2 in 1827 in Warren Co., North Carolina. She died 3 before Jun 1861 in Warren Co., North Carolina.
She is identified as the deceased granddaughter of William Brown in his Will which was probated in Warren Co., North Carolina in 1862. We can also tell from his will that there were three children born to Martha R. Mabry.

In 1900 she is found living with her son, Stephen Leonard Watkins and his family. She shows she had had 8 children with 4 living.
Sarah married 1, 2 Richard S. Watkins son of Caleb Watkins and Elizabeth Short on 22 Jan 1847 in Warren Co., North Carolina. Richard was born 3, 4, 5 about 1827 in Granville Co., North Carolina.
He was named as a grandson in the Will of Richard Short and made Executor of his Will.
Apparently he and Sarah moved to Virginia after their marriage since we have not found Richard on the 1850 Census of Warren Co. and their oldest child, Elmus, was born in Virginia about 1855. We find a Richard Watkins and wife Sally in Mecklenburg Co. in 1850 but can not determine if they are the same people since the 1850 Census show the couple as born in Virginia. Naturally this could be an error. They were back in Warren Co. by the time Stephen was born.
In 1870 Mary Newman, age 42, is living in the home.

The 1880 Census gives his occupation as bookkeeper.6451 F iv Annie Laurie Watkins was born on 28 Jan 1867. She died on 27 Jun 1947. 6452 M v Richard Lewis Wellons Watkins was born on 16 Apr 1872. He died on 18 Jun 1922.

In 1900, Phoebe shows she has had 5 children with 4 living. This would indicate that Green Duke is now deceased since we know that Lewis Henry Duke and Nancy Agnes Duke are still alive. Pelor is now a widow and living with her parents. Also in the home is Edward B. Hagood.
Pheobe married 1 (1) Lewis Skidmore Duke son of William Green Duke and Letitia Pascall on 7 Dec 1850 in Warren Co., North Carolina. Lewis was born 2 in 1827 in Warren Co., North Carolina. He died 3 in 1863 in Warren Co., North Carolina.
His Will which was dated 26 feb. 1863 and probated August 1863 devised the land where he lived to his wife, containing 90 acres, together with all furniture and stock, etc. He further provided that his wife should "keep my Negroes until my oldest son Green J. Duke is twenty-one, and then they are to be divided between my wife and children".
They had the following children:
6453 M i Green J. Duke was born in 1852. He died before 1900.
He is the only child named in his father's will which refers to other children who were not named.
In 1900, his mother indicated she had 4 living children and Green is the only child not otherwise accounted for in 1900.6454 M ii Lewis Henry Duke was born on 21 May 1854. He died in 1902. 6455 F iii Nancy Agnes Duke was born on 12 Mar 1857. She died on 7 Apr 1942.
Pheobe married (2) William R. Hagood son of John Hagood and Unknown about 1869 in Warren Co., North Carolina. William was born 1 in Aug 1829 in North Carolina.
The 1900 Census shows the couple have been married for 30 years.
They had the following children:

He was still living at home and single in 1900.
