Mrs. Nola Pegram Bell, 94, of Murfreesboro, and formerly of Smyrna, died Sunday, July 9 at NHC. She was a native of Asheville, N.C., and the daughter of the late Thomas Calvin and Annie Morgan Pegram.
She is survived by a daughter, Sylvia Jones of Murfreesboro; grandchildren William (Melissa) Jackson Jones of Smithville and Sylvia Ann (Kirk) Jones Gordon of Erie, Pa.; and great-grandchildren Noah, Sarah, Mariah and Isaiah Jones and Kirk Gordon Jr. and Joshua and Jacob Gordon.

Peggy Kuhn, 88, one of Brigantine's last original residents, died on May 11. 2002. Born and raised in North Carolina, she has been a resident of Brigantine since the 1930's.. She was the beloved wife of the late William F. Kuhn, Brigantine Postmaster and Chief of Lifeguards for over 40 years. Peggy provided housing for Brigantine's finest lifeguards and always had something cooking on the stove for anyone who happened by. Peggy loved to garden and read. She was an avid fundraiser for the Brigantine Presbyterian Church when it was located in the basement of Central High School, and was instrumental in erecting the church where it now stands. She was honored by the President of the United States for her meritorious work with the servicemen stationed in Atlantic City during World War II. Peggy's house echoes with the laughter and camaraderie experienced during the summer parties she was known for. She was the loving mother of Margaret Conn and William Kuhn Jr. She was the proud grandmother of Heather Colache and her husband Stephen, Jerri, Rob, Melissa, Bill, Kimberli and Christopher; and great grandmother of Courtney, Ryan, Kaley, Joshua, Lecey end Rachel. Also surviving is her sister, Nola Bell. Relatives and friend, are Invited to her Life Celebration and viewing Wednesday morning from 10 -11 AM at Keates-Plum Funeral Home, 3112 Brigantine Ave., Brigantine.
