In 1910 Frederick B. was working as a pharmacist in a drug store in Goldsboro, Wayne Co., North Carolina. By 1920, the family had move to Charlotte where Frederick was still employed as a pharmacist. It appears they may have divorced since we find a marriage between Frederick B. Pegram, Sr. and Pearl Purgason in 1928 in Rowan Co., North Carolina.
Frederick married (1) Myrtle C.. Myrtle was born about 1894.
In 1930, Myrtle is living in Wake Co. with 3 daughters, Margaret Lee, Frances Hope and Betty. W.

The 1930 City Directory of Raleigh, North Carolina shows Frederick, Jr. and his mother are living at 320 New Bern Ave. However, the 1930 Census shows him living in DeKalb, Georgia in the home of his "brother-in-law", Charles Coggin. It shows he was a marble salesman so it is possible he was in Georgia on business. We do not know the connection between Charles Coggin and the Pegram family. One clue is that Sara Richardson is in the home and identified as the mother-in-law of Charles Coggin. It is possible that Myrtle was Richardson.Frederick married Annie Louise Dula daughter of William Julius Dula and Harriet Amanda Garrison. Annie was born about 1911. 16938 F ii Margaret Lee Pegram was born about 1912 in North Carolina. 16939 F iii Frances Hope Pegram was born about 1918 in North Carolina. 16940 F iv Bettie W. Pegram was born in 1923 in North Carolina.

Mildred Pegram Roberson, a resident of the Senior Citizens Home went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 8, 2006. She was born in Vance County on August 13, 1923 to the late Wannie W. and Birdie Harris Pegram. She was the widow of Jesse Roberson, whom she was married to for 52 years. She was a homemaker, a wonderful mother, grandmother, and our friend. She was a mother whom you could discuss anything with and she always gave you advice with love. She was a member of North Henderson Baptist Church and the Lottie Williams Sunday School Class. In 2004 she was honored with her 49th Perfect Attendance Sunday School Pin. She is survived by her children, Birdie R. Travis, Joyce and William Dickerson, Elaine and Larry Brame, and Jeffrey C. "J.C." Pruitt, all of Henderson; five grandchildren, Darlene Pruitt Best of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Billy and Jorie Dickerson of Apex, N.C., Hartwell Wayne Pruitt of Henderson, Chuck Brame of Wake Forest, N.C., and Michelle Brame Wright, of Hendersonville, N.C.; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Clyde E. Pegram, of Guardian Care Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Pegram, a sister, Sadie Pegram, and two sons-in-law.
Mama loved people and during her stay at Senior Citizens she made herself the door greeter and always had a smile. She enjoyed all visitors and met them with a "Hey There', hugs and kisses and always with open arms. On one occaision she told her children that if she had a dollar for every kiss she had that day she would be rich. Mama did not have much money during her life but she was "rich", having the qualities that money cannot buy. She was loved by everyone who knew her and to those that met her for the first time. She loved the nurses, aides, and residents at Senior Citizens ant they were part of her family. She passed away on the day of her 5th anniversary at Senior Citizens Home.Mildred married Jesse Roberson. 16945 F iii Sadie Odelle Pegram was born on 31 Dec 1926. She died on 31 Dec 2003 in Vance Co., North Carolina.
Her obituary which appeared in The Daily Dispatch reads in part:
"Henderson - Sadie Odelle Pegram, 77, of Henderson, N.C., died Wednesday, December 31, 2003, at Maria Parham Medical Center. Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Wannie and Bertie Harris Pegram. Miss Pegram was a retired hairdresser with Donna's Hair Styling. She was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Her favorite pastime was her love and concern for the care of all animals. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Flowers Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Abidan Shah and the Rev. Brent Kasey. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens. Surviving are a sister, Mildred P. Roberson, and a brother, Clyde E. Pegram, both of Henderson; nieces Barbara Stalls, Bertie Travis, Joyce Dickerson and husband William, Elaine Brame and husband Larry; a nephew, J.C. Pruitt. Her extended family Ray Ranes, Linda Clayton and a special friend, Martha Cable. She was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Pegram; a sister-in-law, Mary Lee Pegram; and a brother-in-law, Jesse Roberson"16946 M iv Pete Pegram.

In 1930, Fred, Ruby and Joseph Furman were living with their grandparents, Lewis Pegram and wife Maggie Abbott. We find a Richard G. Satterwhite in Warren Co. who appears to have remarried.
Mamie married Richard Gibbs Satterwhite. Richard was born 1 on 17 Jan 1877 in North Carolina.

HIGH POINT - Florence Pegram Cox, 101, died Friday, July 9, 2004, at her residence. She was a Vance County native and the daughter of Walter and Mary Champion Pegram.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. July 11 at Davis Funeral & Cremation Chapel. Burial was in the Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery of High Point.
Surviving are four daughters, Elizabeth Cox, Rosa McBride, Vallie Callicut and Trudy Edwards of Henderson; one son, Robert Cox of Henderson; and one sister, Mary Ella Grissom of Henderson; 16 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyndo Cox; one son, Linwood Cox; one daughter, Essie King; four brothers, Robert, Thomas, J.B. and William Pegram; and four sisters, Rosa Dement, Nellie Grissom, Blanch Pegram and Maude Twisdale.
Florence married Lindo Cox son of Arthur Cox and Ida. Lindo was born 1 on 10 Nov 1899 in Durham Co., North Carolina. He died in May 1979 in High Point, Guilford Co., North Carolina.
