Henderson - Annie Mae Parham Pegram, formerly of the Williamsboro Community, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004 in a local nursing home.
Born in Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Ivy Douglas Parham. She was the widow of James Thomas Pegram.
Mrs. Pegram was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a retired employee of the Vance County school system and was a member of Island Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are: four daughters, Frances P. Twisdale, and husband, James, Shirley J. Taylor, and husband, Al, Betsy N. Gupton, and husband, Gene, all of Henderson, and Louise P. Gibson, and husband, Sidney, of Littleton, N.C.; two sons, James A. Pegram, and wife, Frances, of Henderson, and Robert H. Pegram of Shelby, N.C.; two sisters, Pearl Wynne, of Raleigh, N.C. and Nellie Knott, of Henderson; sixteen grandchildren, Jimmy Twisdale, Bonnie Fisher, Danny Twisdale, Wayne Pegram, Bobby Pegram, Tommy Pegram, Mike Pegram, Brad Pegram, Clay Gibson, Craig Gibson, Darrell Johnson, Keith Johnson, Greg Johnson, Stephen Gupton, Tony Gupton, and Dale Neathery; twenty-six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucy Bell Wynne and Janie Faulkner; three brothers, Floyd Parham, R.L. Parham, and Alex Parham; a great-granddaughter, Paige Twisdale; and a daughter-in-law, Marquita Pegram.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Jimmy Twisdale, Danny Twisdale, Wayne Pegram, Stephen Gupton, Tony Gupton, Dale Neathery, Clay Gibson, Craig Gibson, Darrell Johnson, Keith Johnson, Greg Johnson, Bobby Pegram, Tommy Pegram, Mike Pegram, Brad Pegram, and Carl Fisher.
James and Annie had the following children:
