According to Marge Zoblisein, a descendant of Henry Surrough Harris, his father died when Henry was 5 years old which would be about 1893 and his mother died a year later. The 2 younger children, Mamie and Henry, were sent to their grandmother, Mary Pegram Nicholson who kept them for a short while. In 1900, the 2 younger children are found living with their sister, Irene, who had married John Joseph Harris.
