From the 1880 Census we can see that Benjamin and Louisa apparently moved to Illinois after their marriage since the 2 children shown on the 1880 Census were born there. No doubt, Louisa came back to Tennessee to be near her family after Benjamin's death.

The 1900 Census shows he was born in 1880 but the 1880 Census shows him to be 3 years old.3984 F vii Joanna E. Perry was born 1 in Nov 1882 in Tennessee. 3985 M viii John Perry was born in Aug 1883. He died on 8 May 1956.
1178. Charles M Moore 1, 2 (Cynthia Bell , Nancy Pegram , George , Daniel , Daniel , George ) was born 3, 4, 5 on 11 Jan 1847 in Montgomery Co., Tennessee. He died 6 on 10 Mar 1917 in Montgomery Co., Tennessee.
He is named as a son of James Moore and Cynthia Bell in the Will of Jacob Bell, probated in 1854 in Cheatham Co., Tennessee. In 1870, he is still at home with what appears to be his wife whose name is only shown as M. E. age 20. It also appears that he has a son, also names Charley, age 2. In 1880 we find a Charles Moore in Robertson Co. where the family was prior to moving to Cheatham Co. We can not be positive this is the family of our Charles Moore. The 1880 Census does show a child, age 12, names James. If Charles was married in 1870, his wife must have died since he married a Maria Winlock in 1872. He is found on a 1891 Cheatham Co., Tn. voters list but appears to be gone by 1900.
Charles married 1 Martha Chambliss on 28 Jul 1868 in Robertson Co., Tennessee.

We do not have proof that Josephine Moore who married John J. Evans is the same as Josephine Moore who is shown as a daughter of James and Cynthia Bell Moore but the ages agree. If so, they were first cousins.
Josephine married 1 John J. Evans son of Miles W. Evans and Elizabeth Bell on 29 Apr 1869 in Cheatham Co., Tennessee. John was born 2, 3, 4 in 1846 in Warren Co., North Carolina.

He is named as a child of his brother John J. Vaughn in the Will of William Thomas Vaughn probated in 1867 in Warren Co., North Carolina.
In 1880, he is still single, living with his sisters, Elizabeth (Bettie) and Rebecca.
We have no proof that James M. Vaughan is one and the same as James M. Vaughn who was living in Mecklenburg Co., Virginia in 1900. However we find no other James M. Vaughn in North Carolina prior to 1900 with matching birthday.
James married Elizabeth A. in 1890. Elizabeth was born 1 in May 1851 in Virginia.
They had the following children:

Tempie married Cicero F. Ellen son of Cordal. N. F. Ellen and Martha Manning in 1898 in Nash Co., North Carolina. Cicero was born 1 in 1854. He died on 19 Nov 1916 in McDowell Co., North Carolina.
This was the 2nd marriage for Cicero and 1st for Tempie. The 1910 Census shows the couple have been married for 12 years. Tempie has had 3 children with 2 living.
They had the following children:
3997 F i Lucy Ellen was born in 1900. 3998 F ii Tempie (Tempe) Ellen was born 1, 2 on 6 Mar 1902 in Nash Co., North Carolina. She died 3 in Jul 1984 in Alexandria, Alexandria, Virginia.
In 1930 she was working at a nursing school on N. Capital St. in Washington, D. C. According a niece, she met and married Louis Roberts in Washington, D. C. and both spent their careers in government service. They had no children.Tempie married Lewis Emanuel Roberts son of George W. Roberts and Estella. Lewis was born on 22 Oct 1899. He died 1 in Nov 1976 in Alexandria, Alexandria, Virginia.
When he sigend his WWI Draft Registration Card, he was single, living at home and indicated he was a student in "Army and Navy Prep."
1201. William Henry Nicholson 1 (Gideon Wesley Nicholson , Martha L. (Patsey) Pegram , Gideon , Daniel , Daniel , George ) was born 2, 3, 4 on 20 Nov 1864 in Warren Co., North Carolina. He died on 21 Jun 1926. He was buried 5 in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Littleton, Halifax Co., North Carolina.
His occupation was listed as "traveling salesman" on census records. His daughter, Gene N. Hecht, reported to Rebecca Dozier that her father bought out several cigar companies in North Carolina and Virginia, consolidating them to form the Consolidated Cigar Company.
William married Elizabeth Rebecca (Lizzie) Johnston 1 daughter of Sterling Johnston and Mary Jane (Jennie) Johnston on 1 Apr 1891. Elizabeth was born 2 on 15 Apr 1872 in Warren Co., North Carolina. She died on 21 Feb 1958 in Littleton, Halifax Co., North Carolina. She was buried in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Littleton, Halifax Co., North Carolina.
Elizabeth was a graduate of Littleton Female Academy, Class of 1890. In 1930, she was a widow and living with her daughter, Ruth Nicholson Ashby, in Raleigh, North Carolina.

He was from Tampa, Florida. They lived in Topeka, Kansas.
