In 1900 she is found living with her daughter, Cornelia. The 1900 Census is wrong about the place of birth and number of children.
Mary married Dr. Alfred Moore Folger 1 son of Reuben Folger and Lydia Wilson on 17 Apr 1835 in Stokes Co., North Carolina. Alfred was born on 20 Mar 1811 in Stokes Co., North Carolina. He died on 15 Jul 1880 in Pickens Dist., South Carolina.
He was the son of Quaker parents, Reubin Folger and wife Lydia Wilson. Alfred's brother, Milton Y. Folger married Mary Pegram's sister, Elizabeth Pegram. He was the author of The Family Physician, published in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 1845. He studied medicine at Miami University in Ohio. He was attending physician in the service of the United States during the Cherokee emigration ("..it became my lot to attend to about 1200 indians encamped in the woods, about three months").

The marriage license for the couple lists his name as F. J. Lemons. He is shown as John Lemons on the 1880 Census and then as Frank Lemons on the 1900 Census of Rockingham Co., North Carolina.1321 F iii Martha B. Pegram was born on 22 May 1861. She died on 13 May 1939. 1322 F iv Henrietta Pegram was born 1, 2, 3 in 1864 in Guilford Co., North Carolina.

She appears as May on the 1880 census. In 1930 she was a widow, living with her brother, John Henry Pegram.Miranda married Jacob Hultz about 1907. Jacob was born 1 in 1844 in Indiana. He died before 1930.
Miranda may have been previously married. The 1910 Census shows the couple have been married for 3 years and that this was the 2nd marriage for both. However, Miranda shows she has had no children.1330 F iii Elizabeth J. Pegram was born on 2 Nov 1854. 1331 F iv Nancy Caroline Pegram was born in May 1857. 1332 M v John Henry D. Pegram was born on 6 Jul 1859. He died on 17 Nov 1940.

This would appear to be an error since there are 9 children shown on the 1880 census being all except Amanda and John Henry. We know that John Henry had married 1879. We do not know about Amanda.

In 1900 he is found as a single man, living in Wilmington, Delaware. His occupation is given as "Car-Builder."1343 F xi Lillie Pegram was born 1 about 1874 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. She died 2 on 28 May 1960 in Guilford Co., North Carolina.
Her death certificate gives her father's name as Calvin Pegram, which we can not explain. We have examined the possibility that there is an unknown Calvin Pegram in Guilford Co. about this period but can not find anyone. Further, the information on the marriage of Lillie Pegram came from family members many years ago. Until we obtain additional information, we must assume that Calvin was a nickname used by Jesse. There were other Pegrams in early Guilford Co. with the middle name of Calvin but none that we are aware of who could have been the father of LIllie.Lillie married 1 John H. Lofton on 30 Oct 1900 in Guilford Co., North Carolina.

The 1900 Census of Guilford Co., North Carolina shows that Laura F. Pegram, born October 1876 is living with James and is identified as his neice. Also living with them is Laura's daughter Lessie C., age 7 months.
James married 1 Diana Malinda Talley daughter of Nicholas Talley and Jane Elizabeth Clampitt on 4 Oct 1855 in Forsyth Co., North Carolina. Diana was born 2 in Mar 1829 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. She died on 17 Dec 1914 in Guilford Co., North Carolina.

We are not certain that Julia was his only wife. On the 1880 Census, his wife's name is given as Elizabeth, indicating that he may have married a 2nd time.
