Retired Refinery Worker Dies Wednesday at 76 after long illness.
Charles Criner, 76 of 310 E. Greenlee, died Wednesday night in the Cushing Hospital following a long illness.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 P.M. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral home with Rev. W. Randall Ball, pastor of the Assembly ofGod church conducting the service. Burial , under direction of the Davis Funeral Home, will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery Criner was born Aug. 5, 1886 in Washington, Kan. He was married, May 18,1909 to Leara Brigance in Midlothian, Ok. The couple came to Oklahoma to live in 1913 settling near Chandler and came to Cushing 43 years ago where he has lived since. He was employed with Kerr-Mcgee Refinery for 30 yeaers, retirring in 1950 because of ill health. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survining are his widow, Leora of the home; 2 sons, Newton and Dell Criner of Cushing: 1 daughter Miss Maudie Criner of Stillwater; 1 brother, Harry Criner of Cushing and 4 grandchildren.
