He is incorrectly listed as Edward G. Gupton on the 1910 Census of Warren Co. The 1910 Census shows the couple have been married for 4 years. They have had 3 children, all living in the home. At the time of the 1910 Census, he was operating his own blacksmith shop.
His WWI Draft Registration card gives his birthdate as 14 March 1875.

Other family records give his birth date as 1898; however, he is not on the 1910 Census and is shown as age 6 on the 1920 Census which would make his birth year abot. 1913.
