Dorothy Pegram Roland is the author of "Some Middle Tennessee Pegrams and Their Ancestors" which is the source of all of the information on Nathan Petus Pegram and his wife, Sarah Lee and their descendants. She has graciously given permission to use her material so that future generations might know their heritage. We are deeply indebted to her for all the research she has done to make this information available.

He was custom contractor in Nashville, Tennessee is said to have built many of the finest homes in the area.

Charles Thomas (Tom) Bulla became an architect. The following article from The Tennessean, published February 28, 2000, describes the ASCAP building in Nashville which was designed by Tom.
"The atrium in the Nashville's ASCAP building opens up the core of the white stone structure, encouraging communication.
It also works with the windows to bring light throughout the three- story precast concrete structure at 2 Music Square West that is home to ASCAP, the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers.
The lobby is white travertine, punctuated by a grouping of black- and-white print chairs on a round black rug with a black-and-white border that looks like zebra. A large circular settee nearby sits under a Paul Harmon painting.
Across the lobby is a grand piano formerly owned by Music Row pioneer Owen Bradley and music publishing executive Jerry Bradley that was used in some of their recordings. Near the center is a mirrored planter with a palm tree. It is one of the few items in the lobby that doesn't get moved when there's a party, like the recent event celebrating the 25th anniversary of Austin City Limits, the concert show carried nationally on public television. The board room, with tables that can be reconfigured to suit the needs of the group, has been home to ASCAP meetings as well as to meetings of the Gospel Music Association, NARAS (the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences) and the Nashville Ballet boards.
The building houses both membership and licensing offices for ASCAP, serving as the Southeastern regional office for 93,000 members and the executive office for licensing. Art has a place in the building, in halls and open spaces. One piece, an elevator in three dimensions, has a human-size Bugs Bunny leaned against it. Bugs was a gift from Warner Bros. when the building opened seven years ago. A Mickey Mouse in front was added later, by Disney offshoot Lyric Street Records.
"Miss Doris," a fiber mannequin that looks like an older woman, often is found around elevators in the building, causing jams when people don't realize she is unable to get in the cab when the doors open.
Conference rooms with room for 12, which serve as upstairs meeting sites, are located along the same hall as many of the offices.
The five kitchens serve both the public areas and the offices and serve as break areas for employees.
They also are convenient to the writers' rooms, the small offices where writers can put ideas on paper.
The building was designed by Tom Bulla, architect, and built by American Constructors. Interior design was by Keith Lightsey of Colour Corps and Lyn Cutler of By Design."
