1917. Benjamin Boisseau Vaughan 1, 2, 3 (Thyrze Holt (Thrysa) Boisseau , Mary Eppes , Sallie W. (a\k\a Elizabeth) Pegram , Edward , Daniel , George ) was born 4 on 5 Sep 1819 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. He died on 18 Oct 1881 in Petersburg, Independant City, Virginia.
The 1850 census of Dinwiddie Co., Virginia shows:
Benjamin B. Vaughan age 30; Sarah E. age 26; Lemuel H. age 7; Benjamin B. age 5; Sarah age 3; and Ada V. age 7 months.
In 1880, he was living with his son, Lemuel Vaughan while his wife was living with her daughter.
Prior to his death he made a note of his understanding of his family tree which was included in the Reliques of Rives and reads:
"Lemuel Holt Vaughan, father of B. B. Vaughan, was a son of Peter Vaughan of Dinwiddie co. Va., a large land-holder in, and for many years high sheriff of that county; the father of Peter Vaughan was Salathiel Vaughan, an Englishman. The mother of Lemuel Holt Vaughan was a daughter of John Boisseau and his wife whose maiden name was Goodwyn. This John Boisseau was a brother [son] of James Boisseau the father of Benjamin Boisseau, who was the father of Thrysa Holt, the mother of B. B. Vaughan.
Thrysa Holt Vaughan, whose maiden name was Boisseau, mother of B. B. Vaughan, was the daughter of Benjamin Boisseau and Mary, his wife, whose maiden name was Epes.
Benjamin Boisseau's father was James Boisseau, who was the son of a Frenchman named James, who escaped from France at the time of the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes by Louis 14th King of France, and settled about the year of 1688 on Hatcher's Run in Dinwiddie county, about seven miles from Petersburg, on the main road to Dinwiddie Court House.
The grandmother of B. B. Vaughan on the maternal side was the daughter of Francis Epes, whose maiden name was Mary. His wife, Elizabeth, whose maiden name was Pegram, was of the Dinwiddie family of Pegrams."
Later research has supported most of this account although Salathiel Vaughan was actually born in Virginia.
Benjamin married 2 Sarah Ellen Vaughan 1 in Jan 1842 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. Sarah was born 3 on 3 Mar 1823 in Nottoway Co., Virginia. She died on 27 Jun 1903 in Virginia.
In 1880 she is found living with the family of her daughter, Leila McCandlish.

Infant died on 18 Jun 1858 in Petersburg, Independant City, Virginia.
1918. James B. Vaughan 1 (Thyrze Holt (Thrysa) Boisseau , Mary Eppes , Sallie W. (a\k\a Elizabeth) Pegram , Edward , Daniel , George ) was born 2 in 1823 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. He died in Mar 1868 in Chesterfield Co., Virginia.

He died on 3 Jun 1910. 5575 F v Sarah Vaughan 1 was born in 1854. 5576 M vi James Marshall Vaughan 1 was born on 9 Jun 1856 in Virginia. He died on 9 Jul 1857 in Virginia. 5577 F vii Mary Vaughan 1 was born on 16 Jan 1858. 1919. Mary Epes Boisseau 1 (Benjamin Boisseau , Mary Eppes , Sallie W. (a\k\a Elizabeth) Pegram , Edward , Daniel , George ) was born in 1842 in Virginia. She died in 1891.
Mary married 2 Robert H. Jones 1 son of Robert H. Jones and Martha Boisseau in Feb 1860 in Virginia. Robert was born in 1837. He died in 1891. Robert was born 3 in 1837 in Virginia.
In the notice of his marriage he is identified as Robert H. Jones, Jr.
They had the following children:
5581 M i Robert H. Jones 1, 2 was born 3 in 1861 in Virginia. He died in 1928. He was buried in Blanford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia. 5582 M ii William Henry Jones was born in 1864. 1922. Elizabeth Frances Pegram (Robert Wynn , John , George , Edward , Daniel , George ) was born 1, 2, 3 about 1834 in Virginia.
Elizabeth married William Early Ford son of William Ford and Mary A. Thornton on 5 Dec 1854 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. William was born 1, 2, 3 about 1833 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia.
In 1910 he is found with his 2nd wife, Virginia, and the children of his 2nd marriage.
They had the following children:

1923. John Thomas Pegram 1 (Robert Wynn , John , George , Edward , Daniel , George ) was born 2, 3 in Oct 1836 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. He died on 9 Feb 1904 in Richmond, Independent City, Virginia.
His widow, Sarah Francis Pegram, gave his birth date on her application for a widow's pension which was sujpported by the affidavit of Dr. Wm. A. Deas, attending physician.
John married 2 Sarah Frances Pettaway 1 daughter of Edward A. Pettaway and Mary A. Harriet Pegram in Dec 1857 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. Sarah was born 3, 4, 5 in Oct 1838 in Virginia. Sarah was born 6 on 2 Oct 1838.
The 1910 Census shows she has had 8 children with 3 living.
They had the following children:
5591 F i Mary Harriet Pegram died 1 in Oct 1868 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. 5592 F ii Nannie T. Pegram 1 was born 2, 3 in Jun 1873 in Virginia.
We will leave the birthdate we have although it is obviously wrong based on the birth date of her brother.5593 M iii William Twynham Pegram 1 was born 2, 3 on 7 Oct 1873 in Virginia. He died in Jul 1931. 5594 F iv Mattie C. Pegram 1, 2 was born 3, 4 in Jun 1880 in Virginia.
There is a conflict between her birth date. The 1880 census shows her to be age 3 while the 1900 census shows she was born in June 1880 and the 1910 shows her age as 29.
This differs from the 1880 census which shows her to be 3 years old.Mattie married Edward C. Kelley in 1903 in Virginia. Edward was born 1 in 1873 in Illinois.
At the time of th 1910 Census the couple had been married for 7 years. They have had no children.
1926. Sarah Frances Pettaway 1 (Mary A. Harriet Pegram , John , George , Edward , Daniel , George ) was born 2, 3, 4 in Oct 1838 in Virginia. Sarah was born 5 on 2 Oct 1838.
The 1910 Census shows she has had 8 children with 3 living.
Sarah married 2 John Thomas Pegram 1 son of Robert Wynn Pegram and Mary Booth Warren in Dec 1857 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. John was born 3, 4 in Oct 1836 in Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. He died on 9 Feb 1904 in Richmond, Independent City, Virginia.

He enlisted for service during the Civil War on 28 July 1861 from Amelia Co. and served with Co. I, 53rd Virginia Infantry. The 1880 Census shows he was a retail grocer in Richmond, Virginia.
John married Ellen D.. Ellen was born 1 in 1847 in Virginia.
They had the following children:

Alice married James B. Ford son of William Early Ford and Elizabeth Frances Pegram about 1877. James was born 1 in 1855 in Dinwiddie Co., Virgina.
The 1900 Census reflects the couple have been married for 23 years. They have had 5 children with 4 living.
They had the following children:

He was still single and living in Warwick Co. at the time of the 1900 Census.
Benjamin married Lucy. Lucy was born 1 about 1874.
They had the following children:
5606 M i Benjamin Smithey was born 1 on 16 Oct 1915. He died 2 in May 1981 in Staunton, Augusta Co., Virginia.
1941. John Edward Harper Allison (Martha Rebecca Pegram , Edward , Baker , Edward , Daniel , George ) was born 1, 2 on 20 Feb 1831 in Alabama. He died on 25 Dec 1872 in Arkansas.
John married Emily Wilder. Emily was born 1 about 1832 in Mississippi.
They had the following children:
5607 F i Sarah A. Allison was born 1 about 1863 in Pulaski Co., Arkansas. 5608 M ii James Allison was born 1 about 1865 in Pulaski Co., Arkansas. 5609 M iii William Edward Allison was born 1 about 1867 in Pulaski Co., Arkansas.
According to a descendant his name was Edward Allen but he appears as William E. on the 1870 Census.
1944. Napoleon Pegram Allison (Martha Rebecca Pegram , Edward , Baker , Edward , Daniel , George ) was born 1, 2, 3 on 21 Apr 1839 in Alabama. He died on 21 Apr 1916 in Desoto Co., Mississippi.
Napolean served in Company I, 17th Mississippi Infantry during the Civil War.
Napoleon married (1) Cecily McElory on 4 Jul 1896. Cecily was born 1 in Oct 1858 in Mississippi.
Napoleon married 1 (2) Sarah Catherine "Kate" Meals daughter of George Meals and Melissa Morrow on 19 Mar 1865 in Desoto Co., Mississippi. Sarah was born 2 on 3 Jul 1845 in Tennessee. She died on 4 Jun 1894 in Desoto Co., Mississippi.
They had the following children:
