Mrs. Clara Whicker Dwiggins, 88, of 1522 Oak Ridge Road, Kernersville died Saturday, May 22, 2004, at her home. She was born Sept. 24, 1915, in Forsyth County, a daughter of the late John E. and Augusta Pegram Whicker. Mrs. Dwiggins was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church as treasurer, a member of the choir and a member of United Methodist Women. She was a graduate of Walkertown High School and retired from Adams Millis. She was preceded in death by her husband E. Pink Dwiggins. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Maurice Woods of Kernersville and Ellen MacMillan of Cary; and a brother, James Whicker of Kernersville.Claire married 1 Elias Pinkney Dwiggens son of Walter S. Dwiggins and Laura Warren on 29 Nov 1941 in Forsyth Co., North Carolina. Elias was born 2 about 1906 in Belews Creek, Forsyth Co., North Carolina. 10593 F iv Reba Irene Whicker was born on 13 Mar 1918. Surviving are a sister, Jane Dunlap and husband Dunk of Walnut Cove; a sister-in-law, JoAnn A. Neal of Winston-Salem and a niece, Marguita N. Dotson of Dallas, Texas.
