Frances Angel Pegram, 91, of Martinsville, died Thursday, May 26, 2005, at Beverly Health Care in Martinsville.She was born in Guilford County, N.C. on April 17, 1914, to Bobby Rankin Angel and Bluford Brown Angel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jiles Pegram; a son, Bobby Lester Pegram; a brother; and three sisters. She retired from Lacy Manufacturing with 30 years of service, and she was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and the Fairview Garden Club.
Survivors are a daughter, Judy McLain, of Lexington, N.C.; three sisters, Catherine Friddle of Stokesdale, N.C., Helen Roberts of Greensboro, N.C. and Julia Sauls of Burlington, N.C.; and four grandchildren.

Johnsie Pegram Beeson, 87, of John Redd Blvd., Collinsville, died Saturday, March 11, 2006, at Stanleytown Health Care. She was born in Guilford County, N.C., on July 18, 1918, to James N. Pegram and Lou Ada Lineberry Pegram. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, V.Y. Beeson; and three brothers, Jiles Pegram, Herbert Pegram and Hubert Pegram.
She worked at Old Dominion Box Co. and retired from Lawson Decorators. She was a charter member of Collinsville Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was secretary and treasurer, taught Sunday school for 52 years and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son, Bill Beeson of Bassett; three brothers, Jarvis Pegram of Asheboro, N.C., Aubrey Pegram of Martinsville and Elmer Pegram of Collinsville; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Mrs. Sara Pegram Monk left this earth to be with the Almighty God and her beloved husband, Luther Howard Monk, and other family members. Mrs. Monk was born in Forsyth County to William Anderson and Lucy Swain Pegram on March 23, 1910. She passed away Friday, April 21, 2000, at the Oaks at Forsyth in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Monk was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a former member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school classes and sang in the church choir. Mrs. Monk graduated with academic honors from Mineral Springs High School. Sara was a loving, kind, beautiful and intelligent lady. Throughout her life, she developed and perfected her god given talents to his glory. With love, she shared these gifts with her family and countless friends. She was a skilled seamstress, quilt maker, gardener and a landscape artist. Mrs. Monk is survived by a daughter, Gloria Monk of 2706 Fairway Drive , Greensboro; a son and daughter-in-law, David Sherrill Monk and Helen Settle Monk of 3540 Sally Kirk Road, Winston-Salem; and six grandchildren, Sara Anne Smith and her husband, Dr. Peter Morris of Fuquay-Varina, Raymond W. Smith Jr. and his wife, Renea Paschal-Smith of Greensboro, David Michael Monk and his wife, Amy of Charlotte, the Rev. Joseph Howard Monk and his wife, Kim , of Fuquay-Varina, John Anderson Monk and his wife, Mary , of Clemmons and Nancy Elizabeth Bowen and her husband, Thomas , of Lehi, Utah. Affectionately known as ''Nana Monk '' she is survived by five great-grandchildren, Jenna Monk, Harrison Monk, Alexander Monk, Austin Monk and Jackson Monk. Sara is also survived by a sister, Gertrude Burton of Independence Village, Winston-Salem.
