Stokesdale - Chester Smith Pardue, 79, of 1364 Glenwood Road, Kernersville, died Tuesday at his home. Burial will be in Belews Creek Baptist Church cemetery. A native of Stokes County, he was a member of Oak Level Baptist Church and a retired farmer and furniture worker. Surviving are wife, Mrs. Mamie Pegram Pardue; sons, Walter N. Pardue, Jarvis Ray Pardue, both of Kernersville; brothers, Izra Pardue, Albert Pardue, Archie Pardue, all of Kernersville; two grandchildren.
Chester married Mamie Pegram daughter of Mickley Jarvis Pegram and Zora Mozelle Hutchings. Mamie was born 1, 2 on 3 Mar 1915. She died 3 on 9 Jan 1992 in Winston Salem, Forsyth Co., North Carolina.

Archie E. Pardue, 82, died Nov. 8, 2000, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born April 5, 1918, the son of Norman J. and Cora Lea (Freeman) Pardue. Mr. Pardue was a tobacco farmer and had retired from Burlington Industries of Kernersville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Pegram Pardue and his daughter, Sarah Jean Pardue Pegram. Survivors include his son-in-law, Larry and Martha Pegram of Kernersville and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory, Kernersville.
Archie married Lucy Mae Pegram daughter of Mickley Jarvis Pegram and Zora Mozelle Hutchings. Lucy was born 1 on 19 Jan 1921 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. She died 2 on 25 Mar 1999 in Winston Salem, Forsyth Co., North Carolina.

Winston Salem - Mrs. Beatrice Abott Perdue, 82, of Barbara Lane, Winston-Salem, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 1996, at Community General Hospital, Thomasville. A native of Chatham Co., she was a daughter of the late Rufus and Lula Mae Mabe Abott, and was married to the late Robert 'Bob' Perdue. She was retired from Fieldcrest Mills, and a member of Oak Level Baptist Church of Stokesdale, and attended Bethany Baptist Church, Thomasville. She is survived by her children, Mrs. Fletcher (Barbara) George of Winston-Salem, Mr. Lynn B. Perdue of Hendersonville; sisters, Mrs. Viola Bibey of Carthage, and Mrs. Tessie Fogley of Siler City; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Robert L. Perdue, Jr.
Her age was given as 82 at the time of her death.
