Julia married Charles B. Gerhart son of Peter Gerhart and Octavia about 1888 in Missouri. Charles was born 1 in Aug 1861 in Missouri.
The 1890 directory for St. Louis shows Charles to be with P. G. Gerhart and Co., a realestate company, in St. Louis.
The 1900 Census shows the couple have been married for 12 years and have 2 children, i.e. Frank and Aenid. If this is correct, then the 1910 Census showing that Julia had no children is in error. However, we have a marriage record for a Charles B. Gerhart and Julia MacFarlane in Marion Co., Indiana dated 11 April 1896. If the marriage record is correct then the children would not be Julia's.

He was apparently named after his uncle, Frank H. Gerhart. In 1916 he is found serving with the Missouri National Guard along the Mexican border. He was married prior to 1920 when he is found with his wife in St. Louis, Missouri, working as a realestate agent. He may have developed TB since he was found in a sanitorium in Indiana at the time of the 1930 Census.Frank married Marie L.. Marie was born 1 about 1896 in Illinois.
In 1930, Marie is listed as HH, living in Chicago, Illinois. There are no children in the home.12562 F ii Aenid (Enid) Gerhart was born 1 in Feb 1894 in Missouri.

He registered for WWI in 1918 in Montana. In 1920 he is found in Lewiston, Montana, working as a pianist in a theatre. In 1910, he is found in the Dever, Colorado City Directory listed as E. B. Pegram, salesman, Knight-Locke Piano Co. The 1920 Census shows he is divorced. His ex-wife is found with their son, Edwin Baron, Jr. living in Dillon, Montana, where she is working as a musician in the theatre.
Edwin married Alice K.. Alice was born 1, 2 on 13 Aug 1884 in Minnesota. She died 3, 4 on 20 Sep 1965 in Gallatin Co., Montana.

When he signed the WWI Registration card, the coupld were living in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1930, the couple were living in Denver, Colorado. Also in the home was Edna's mother, Katherine Boner.
Lawrence married Edna Boner. Edna was born 1 in 1893 in Pennsylvania.

Earl Stowe Pegram was a very promising business man, whose career was cut short by his early death at 38 years of age. At the very young age of 18 he was the cashier of a bank.
His obituary stated:
"His career in banking began in a Gastonia, North Carolina Bank in 1895. His standing among the bankers of this and other states was of the highest, because of his splendid poise, discerning judgement and thorough knowledge of financial affairs. His flawless character, his many admirable qualities, and his attractive personality had made him popular wherever he was known."
Earl married Winifred Evans Barron daughter of Alonzo Church Barron and Addie Virginia Mason on 17 May 1904 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co., North Carolina. Winifred was born in 1880. She died in 1958.

In a history of Sourth Carolina newspapers written by Ron Allman we find the following concerning the career of William Ward Pegram:
"The Enterprise was established in 1887 by Walter Boylin, who owned a newspaper in Monroe, N. C., and sent a man to run the Chester operation. He sold the paper in 1891 to a Chester schoolteacher, J. T. Bigham, who published the paper for one year. Five years later in 1897, Bigham became owner and editor of The Chester Lantern. The paper was later owned by W. F. Caldwell and J. Dana Jones, and then J. Otis Hull of Rock Hill. C. N. Wrenshall of Lincolnton, N. C., became owner January 12, 1919, with J. E. Nunnery as editor/publisher. Ward W. Pegram Sr. and Stewart L. Cassells bought the paper and changed its name to The Semi-Weekly News. Pegram became the sole owner in 1922 and changed the name to The Chester News. His son, Ward W. Pegram Jr., inherited and ran the newspaper until he sold it to The Chester Reporter on September 13, 1971 to form the present News & Reporter. In 1971, Paul League was publisher, James G. McKeown Sr. was general manager and L. Don McKeown was editor."

Page 97 of the Sep 1985 issue of "The Bulletin", Chester District Genealogical Society", Richburg, SC, names her Stella Roddey. The 1920 Census gives her names as Leota S.
