Mrs. Jeannette Walker Pegram, 79, of 302 Woodmont Road, died Monday, June 24, 1996, at Maryfield Nursing Home in High Point. Mrs. Pegram was born June 11, 1917, in Guilford County, to the late William and Martha Walker. A lifelong resident of Guilford County, she was a home maker and a member of Morehead United Methodist Church. Mrs. Pegram is survived by four children, Garry Thomas Pegram and his wife, Holly, Terry Lyn Pegram and his wife, Joanne, Larry Walker Pegram and his wife, Susan, all of Cary, and Claudia Pegram Lempp and her husband, Bob of Jamestown; a brother, Ralph Walker of Summerfield; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claud Thomas Pegram who died in 1966. Burial in Stokesdale Christian Church cemetery.

Mr. William Paul Pegram Sr., 81, of Rt. 1, Box 69, Belews Creek, died Tuesday at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. Born in Forsyth County, he was a son of William H. Pegram and Mary Parker. Mr. Pegram was retired from Pine Hall Brick and Pipe and was a member of Belews Creek United Church of Christ. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas H. Pegram and wife, Linda of Lewisville, W. Paul Pegram, Jr. and wife, Pam; three grandchildren, Allison Pegram, Matthew Pegram, and Susan Pegram; five sisters and one brother.

William married Ruby Juanita Gibson. Ruby was born ¹ on 8 Sep 1918. She died ² on 30 Mar 1991 in Stokes Co., North Carolina.

Mrs. Pegram was born in Rockingham County to the late Giles Harris French and Mary Ella Nuckols French. She was a homemaker and seamstress. Mrs. Pegram was a member of Reidsville Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was very active in the church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Cecil Pegram.

She is survived by her daughters, Nancy P. Gordon and Faye P. Grogan and companion Butch Walker, all of Reidsville, and Patricia P. Shillinglaw of High Point; grandchildren, Sheryl Hubbard and husband, Lonnie of Wilmington and Jeff Gordon and wife Theresa of Greensboro, Michael Shillinglaw and wife Kim of Thomasville, James Shillinglaw and wife Barbara of Virginia Beach, Va., Kim Yount and husband Ken of Wentworth, Heather Sides and husband Brian of Waxhax; brother Hayward "Bill" French of Reidsville; sisters, Janie Wall of Reidsville and Lucille Bradsher of Lillington."

Evelyn Pegram Hannah, 79, of 1407 Rosedale Blvd., died Tuesday, March 11, 1997, at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital. A native of Forsyth County, she was a daughter of the late Elza W. and Eliza Linville Pegram, and had lived in Reidsville most of her life. She was a retired bookkeeper with H & H Gables Clothing Company, and was a member of the Reidsville Christian Church. Her husband, James P. Hannah Sr., died in 1990. Surviving is one son, James P Hannah Jr. and wife, Mary Hannah of Manchester, Missouri.; brother, Clarence L. Pegram of St. Petersburg, Fla.; sister, Macie P. Talley of Reidsville; and two grandchildren.

Mary married James Pinkney Hannah son of James Pinkney Hannah and Mary L.. James was born ¹ on 25 May 1907 in Georgia. He died ² on 27 Nov 1990 in Reidsville, Rockingham Co., North Carolina.

He came here in 1976 from his native Reidsville, North Carolina He was a retired contractor and was an Army veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a member and head usher at St. James United Methodist Church. He was an avid golfer, shuffleboard player and angler. Survivors include two sons, Robert L., St. Petersburg, and David C., Louisville, Kentucky.; and six grandchildren. "

Clarence married Glenna Maxine Blackwell ¹ daughter of Thomas C. Blackwell and Mattie on 6 Feb 1943 in Columbia, South Carolina. Glenna was born ^{2, 3} on 16 Apr 1924 in Rockingham Co., North Carolina. She died ⁴ on 9 Apr 1999 in Saint Petersburg, Pinellas Co., Florida.

Her obituary reads in part:

"PEGRAM, GLENNA, of St. Petersburg, died Friday (April 9, 1999) at St. Petersburg General Hospital. She came here in 1968 from her native Reidsville, North Carolina She was a homemaker and a member of St. James United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Clarence; two sons, Robert, St. Petersburg, and David, Louisville, Kentucky; and six grandchildren. "
