In 1880 she is found living with her mother. There are no other family members in their home at the time. Her mother's name is 1880 is shown as Ruth but her death certificate shows her mothe to be Jane Harrison.

Her name is shown as Emma J. on the 1900 Census and Nettie on the 1910 Census. Apparently she did not marry.

We have accepted the family records for his birth date. The 1880 Census gives his age as 33. The 1880 Census lists his occupation as merchant.
The 18 on the tombstone is only a guess. It could be 13 but is too faint to read. We will try to find a death certificate.
Alfred married 1, 2 Sarah E. Parish on 23 Oct 1881 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. Sarah was born 3 on 2 Mar 1847 in North Carolina. She died 4 on 7 Jul 1915.

With 7 children showing, there is obviously some error which will require further research. At the tiume of the 1910 Census, Samuel, Jones Wright and Ester were still living at home. Johns Wright Pegram is also shown to be the Census taker for Oak Ridge Townshp. In 1930 she is found living with her son, Jones Wright Pegram and his family.
