Mr. Homer Harris Pegram, 82, of 4856 Woody Mill Road, died Thursday, April, 25, 2002 at Moses Cone Hospital. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Ridge United Church of Christ. Mr. Pegram was a native of Guilford County and a dairy farmer. He was a member of the Dairy Farmers of America and was a veteran of the European Theater participating in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Wright Pegram and Annie Hanner Pegram and brothers William Gladstone Pegram and John Calvin Pegram. He is survived by his wife, Mary McFarland Pegram of the home; three daughters, Lynda Tyson and husband Richard of Greensboro, Cindy Sweeney and husband Budd of Sheridan, Wyo., and Tammy Ryals and husband Robi of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one son, John Pegram and wife Carol of Greensboro; four sisters, Margaret Trujillo of Washington, Lee Higgins of Summerfield, Pauline Higgins and Mildred McFarland both of Greensboro; brother, Donald Pegram of Summerfield; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
