Mrs. Petroff was born in Guilford County, a daughter of Robert Lee and Elizabeth Craig Vernon. She was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Edith Newell of Greensboro, Mrs. Laura Williams of Kernersville, Mrs. Ethelene Weems of Summerfield; five sons, James Pegram and Johnny Pegram, both of Greensboro, Raymond Pegram of Edwards, Missouri, Bobby Pegram of McLeansville, Jerry Pegram of Evansville, Indiana; a sister, Ethel Jackson of Mayodan; a brother, Robert Vernon of Winston-Salem; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Thomas H. Folwell Jr., 61, died Feb. 20, 2000, at Duke Medical Center, Durham, after a brief illness.
He was born in High Point and was a graduate of Guilford College. He earned his master?s degree in economics at Duke University. In 1963, he began his teaching career at Campbell University. During his years at Campbell, his achievements and awards were many and include such things as being the present director of the Southeastern Trust School, a former board member of the North Carolina 4-H Foundation and gubernatorial appointed member of the North Carolina State Library Commission. He was former director of the Buies Creek Branch of Mid-South Bank, and presently served as trustee for Good Hope Hospital. He served as the chairman of the department of business and the director of the MBA Program. In 1983, he was named the dean of the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business. In 1975, he received the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce Award. He earned the Excellence in Teaching Award in 1970. In 1977, he received the Outstanding Faculty Award and in 1981, was named the Teacher of the Year at Campbell University. In addition to these honors, the Pine Burr Annual for Campbell was dedicated to him twice, in 1974 and in 1993. He was a member of the Buies Creek First Baptist Church and was the church moderator. Other former positions held in the church included, deacon, chairman of the finance committee and chairman of the Capital Fund Raising Committee. He continued to remain active at work and his community until his death. Surviving are his wife, Judy O. Folwell of the residence; a daughter, Carolyn Holubec, and her husband, Bryan, of Taylor, Texas; and a grandson, Michael Holubec. Memorial service will be 7 p.m. today at Buies Creek First Baptist Church by Dr. Michael Simmons, Dr. John Rogers, Dr. Norman Wiggins and Dr. Jerry Wallace. Visitation will be immediately after the service at the Rumley Center at Campbell University. Memorials may be directed to Campbell University Advancement Office, P.O.
