His name is always given as simply N. W. Gordon but the 1900 Census of Guilford Co., North Carolina reflects that the N. stands for Nerieous so we can understand why his full name was not used. The 1880 Census gives his name as "Muns", apparently a nickname.

Walkertown - Mrs. Grace Pegram McGee, 93, formerly of Walkertown, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at Bradford Village East. Mrs. McGee was retired from Hanes Hosiery with 40 years of service. She was a lifelong member of Mount Olive United Methodist Church and attended Northwoods Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer McGee. Surviving are a son, Kenneth Friend and his wife, Lisa, of Walkertown; a niece, Ethelene P. Weems of Oak Ridge; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Hayworth-Miller-Cain Funeral Home in Kernersville by the Rev. Jim Thompson. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown.Grace married Elmer McGee on 4 May 1930. 9175 M xiii Alleen (Ailene) Pegram was born 1, 2 on 10 Sep 1913 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. With 7 children showing, there is obviously some error which will require further research. At the tiume of the 1910 Census, Samuel, Jones Wright and Ester were still living at home. Johns Wright Pegram is also shown to be the Census taker for Oak Ridge Townshp. In 1930 she is found living with her son, Jones Wright Pegram and his family.
Mary married 3, 4 Pleasant Harris Pegram 1, 2 son of Henry J Pegram and Clarissa Calhoun about 1870 in North Carolina. Pleasant was born 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 on 15 Jan 1849 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. He died on 10 May 1927 in Guilford Co., North Carolina.
In 1910, Samuel, J. Wright and Ester were still living at home. Samuel's occupation is listed as merchant while J. Wright and Ester are both teachers.
