Others have given her birthdate as c. 1824 but she is shown to be only 20 years old on the 1850 census of Hyde Co., North Carolina.
Julia married 1 Seth Washington Gibbs on 9 Feb 1854 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. Seth was born on 21 Apr 1810 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. He died on 12 Jun 1880 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. He was buried in Jun 1880 in Seth Washington Gibbs Cemetery, Hyde Co., North Carolina.
Seth Washington Gibbs was married previously and is shown with his first wife on the 1850 Census of Hyde Co. His first wife apparently died between 1850 and the estimated date of his marriage to Julia in 1852.

There was possibly another child born to the marriage of Singleton and Nancy Harriett. However, on the 1870 census there is another child, Hannah, age 25 living in the household. We have been unable to locate him on the 1860 Census.
He is listed on the 1874 tax list in the Currituck District of Hyde County, North Carolina.
Singleton married (1) Nancy Harriett about 1848 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. Nancy was born in 1825 in North Carolina.
She apparently died prior to 1856. The 1850 census of Hyde Co. shows Singleton age 25 and wife Nancy also age 25.

Amanda married Little John Pugh Migette (Midyette) son of John Paine Migette (Midyette) and Mary Elizabeth Cahoon before 1857 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. Little was born 1, 2 on 1 Mar 1835 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. He died on 25 Feb 1905. He was buried in Gibbs Sr. Cem, Lake Landing Twp, Hyde Co., North Carolina.
The couple is found living with their daughter, Amanda Sadler, and her family on the 1900 Census of Hyde Co., North Carolina. The census shows they have been married for 45 years. Thye have had 9 children with 5 living.

244. Cynthia Pegram (John , George , Daniel , Daniel , George ) was born on 11 Oct 1790 in Warren Co., North Carolina. She died about 1834 in Guilford Co., North Carolina.
It seems possible that Cynthia died shortly after the birth of her youngest child, Cynthia. Since Cynthia was born in Tennessee and all the older children show they were born in North Carolina, we can only assume that Aaron and Cynthia went to Tennessee between 1832 and 1834.
Cynthia married Aaron Shearin. Aaron was born 1 in 1789 in Warren Co., North Carolina. He died in 1862 in Obion Co., Tennessee.
Thanks to Melody Aslin, who believes her Shearin ancestor was a sister of Aaron's, we now know more about our Aaron and the children he had by Cynthia. Aaron went to Abion Co., Tennessee. While we have maintained the original spelling of the name, Aaron and his family most often used the spelling of Sherron but the public records have almost every possible variation so do be careful when doing any research for the descendants of Aaron and Cynthia in Tennessee.
The 1830 Census of Guilford Co., North Carolina shows Aaron Shearin as HH with the following:
2 males under 5; 1 male 5-10; 2 males 10-15 and 1 male 15-20 and 1 male 45-50;
2 fem. under 5; 1fem. 5-10; 1 fem. 10-15; 1 fem. 15-20 and 1 female 30-40.Based on this, it would appear that Aaron and Cynthia had 6 boys and 6 girls. Considering that there was 1 male and 1 female between 15-20, we can say the couple was married between 1810 and 1815.
Aaron's Will probated in Obion Co., Tennessee names his children: Elizabeth Barham, Francis Barham, James Shearin, Parthena Pritchett, Lucretia Thedford, Moses Shearin, Henry Shearin, Nancy Patrick, Jane Magee, Wiley Shearin, Cynthia Rogers and N.K. Shearin. The executors of his Will were his son, N.K. Shearin and James Haley. James Haley was probably the father or brother of his second wife, Elizabeth Hailey.
They had the following children:
1034 M i Henry Shearin was born about 1819. He died before 1870. 1035 F ii Frances Shearin was born about 1820. 1036 M iii James H. Shearin was born about 1819. 1037 F iv Elizabeth Shearin was born about 1820 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. Elizabeth married Nathan Barham on 17 Dec 1835 in Gibson Co., Tennessee. 1038 M v Nathaniel K. Shearin was born 1, 2 about 1821 in Guilford Co., North Carolina.
In 1850 he was living next to his father. His age shown on the 1850 Census is 31 so he was probably the oldest son of Aaron and Cynthia Pegram Shearrin. His wife was not in the home in 1850. It should be noted that the BM was listed as Arthur Barron (?Barham).In 1860, he was living in the home of his sister, Frances Barham, where his name is shown as Killsaw.Nathaniel married (1) Elizabeth Wilson on 13 Feb 1844 in Gibson Co., Tennessee. Nathaniel married (2) Sarah Williams on 10 Oct 1863 in Obion Co., Tennessee. 1039 F vi Parthena Shearin was born about 1825. 1040 M vii Moses S. Shearin was born about 1827. He died in 1868. 1041 F viii Martha Jane Shearin was born in 1831. 1042 F ix Lucretia (Louisa) Shearin was born about 1832. 1043 F x Nancy J. Shearin was born in 1832. 1044 F xi Cynthia N. Shearin was born about 1834.

John married 1, 2 Rebecca Dwiggins daughter of Robert Dwiggins and Patsy Crews on 17 Feb 1824 in Stokes Co., North Carolina. Rebecca was born 3 in 1803 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. She died in 1883 in Virgil, Greenwood Co., Kansas.
1880 Census shows she was living with a daughter, Rebecca Barham in McNairy Co., Tennessee.

The Patriot, a local newspaper in Greensboro, North Carolina carried the announcement of the marriage of Jesse Pegram and Lucretia Fuller which read as follows:
June 20, 1829 Married: In this county, on the 16th inst., by the Rev. Travers Jones, Mr. Jesse Peguin to Miss Lucretia Fullur, all of this county.
Note the spelling of Jesse's name as Peguin.
Jesse married (1) Martha Dwiggins on 1 Apr 1826 in Stokes Co., North Carolina.
Jesse married (2) Lucretia Fuller on 9 Jun 1829 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. Lucretia was born about 1805.

At the time of the 1870 Census she was living at home with her father and her sister's family.Rebecca married David Wilson Young son of George Young and Nancy Clark on 18 Jan 1874 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. David was born 1, 2 on 10 Dec 1829 in North Carolina. He died on 3 Apr 1900.
The 1880 Census shows David Wilson with his new wife, Rebecca Elizabeth Pegram,. The children in the home are the children of his first marriage to Annie Harris Pegram.1062 M v John B. Pegram was born 1 on 24 Dec 1831 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. He died on 31 Dec 1862 in Richmond, Virginia.
He enlisted in CSA at age 31 on 29 April 1862 in Guilford Co., NC. Served North Carolina Enlisted F Co. 54th Inf Reg. NC He was promoted to Full Corporal on 01 July 1862. He was promoted to Full Sergeant on 01 December 1862. He died of "variola confluent" at Richmond, VA on 31 December 1862John married Mary E. Walker daughter of James Walker and Sarah on 7 Sep 1861. 1063 M vi Daniel A. Pegram was born 1 about 1837.
Other sources have shown his name as Samuel A. Pegram1064 M vii Baker M. Pegram was born 1 about 1839 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. He died on 10 Jun 1863.
He enlisted F Co. 54th Inf Reg. North Carolina and died disease at Richmond, Virginia on 10 June 1863 (Died of "dysentery")
