Mrs. Ethel Pegram Cook, 90, of Clemmons died Thursday, May 4, 2000, at her home. She was born Feb. 19, 1910, in Forsyth County to John William and Bessie Transou Pegram. Mrs. Cook was a member of Boyer's Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Theodore Cook; and a brother, Joseph W. Pegram. Surviving are a son, Larry L. Cook and wife Nancy of Clemmons; a daughter, Brenda C. Chamelin and husband Coy of Kernersville; four grandchildren, Beverly Barber, Tim Cook and Don and Kent Chamelin; nine great-grandchildren; five sisters, Willie P. Kinney, Johnsie P. Moser, Hattie Mae Hire, Faye P. Jones and Wanda P. Redding, all of Lewisville; two brothers, Leo G. Pegram and Billy G. Pegram, also of Lewisville; stepsister Nellie Tuttle Canter; and a special friend, Jenny Mae Bodsford. A grave side service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2000, at Boyer's Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery, with Mr. Carl F. Rothrock and Mr. James Percival officiating.
Ethel married Kenneth Theodore Cook on 24 Dec 1930. Kenneth died on 21 Jan 1966.
