David married (2) Virginia Dare Cutrell. Virginia was born 1 about 1905 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. She died on 24 Feb 1990 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
Her name is sometimes shown as Virginia Berry, perhaps because she was raised by her grandfather, Ira Berry. She is found in her grandfather's home on the 1910 and 1920 Census.
Her obituary includes the following information:
Virginia Cutrell Pegram, 85, died yesterday in Guardian Care Nursing Home, Elizabeth City. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. tomorrow in Swan Quarter Baptist Church with the Rev. John Rowland officiating. Burial will be in the Soule Cemetery.
A native of Hyde County, Mrs. Pegram was a member of Swan Quarter Baptist Church and had lived in Elizabeth City for the last five years. Surviving are two sons, David Pegram Jr. of Honora Path, SC, and Marvin Pegram of Livermore, Calif.; a daughter, Betty P. Sadler of Swan Quarter, 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. And Mrs. Larry Sadler in Swan Quarter. Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service." ( WDN 25 Feb 1990)

Ruth Craddock Radcliffe, 80 of Swindell Road, Route 1, Belhaven, died Sunday, Nov 3 1996, at Pungo District Hospital in Belhaven. Mrs Radcliffe was born on May 18 1916, in Beaufort county to the late Henry and Cora Pegram Craddock. On Nov 14, 1934, she married Eugene Hassel Radcliffe, who preceded her in death on June 14, 1967. She was a devoted wife and mother who also worked for several years with Blue Channel of Belhaven before her retirement. She was also a member of Wilkinson Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters Cora Williams of Pink Hill, Lula Stout of Washington, and Teresa Bates of Belhaven; one sister, Sarah Credle of Scranton; two brothers, William Craddock of Pantego, and Troy Craddock of Belhaven; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several stepbrothers and stepsisters and other loving family members.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Retha Allen, a grandchild and one-great grandchild.Ruth married Eugene Hassel Radcliffe on 14 Nov 1934. 8908 M ii Troy M. Craddock was born on 18 May 1916 in Beaufort Co., North Carolina. He died in 2001.
His obituary reads in part:
Troy M. Craddock, 84, a former resident of the Pamlico Beach community, died Monday 29,2001 at Beaufort County Hospital.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ryder Hill Cemetery at Pamlico Beach with Dean Fulford Jr. officiating.
Craddock was born in Beaufort County on May 18, 1916, son of the late Henry Craddock and Cora Pegram Craddock. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was married to the former Cora Hopkins, who survives.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Earl Richardson and Michael R. Richardson, both of Bath, and Donnie Eugene Richardson of Richlan; three daughters, Teresa H. Smith, Regina C. Woolard and Doris C. Foreman, all of Washington’ one brother, William Craddock of Pantego; one sister, Sarah Credle of Scranton; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Craddock was preceded in death by a son, Charles Milton Craddock. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven and other times at the home of his daughter. Doris C. Foreman, 165 Wren Drive, WashingtonTroy married Cora Hopkins. 8909 F iii Cassie Anderson Craddock was born on 1 Jun 1919. She died on 19 Feb 1946.

Until recently, we were not aware of Singleton Pegram. We were contacted by a descendant who gave us bits of information and we started looking to see if we could document him.
In 1910 he is found listed as the grandson of Bartremus Kilby and wife Mary J. in Pantego, Beaufort Co., North Carolina. According to a gr-grandaughter, his father was Zachariah Pegram who later married Minnie Taylor.
Singleton married May Bell (Maybell) Rice on 20 Jun 1926.
Her name has also been found as Mabel and Maybelle.

Her obituary which appeared in the Washington Daily News on May 14, 1988 reads in part as follows:
"Engelhard--Ludie B.H. Cuthrell, 86, died Friday at Pungo District Hospital. The graveside service will be Sunday at 3 pm in Soule Cemetery with Johnny Presley officiating. A native of Hyde county, Mrs. Cuthrell was the daughter of the late Bart [Bartlett] and Dellie [Abydilla] Pegram Hall and the widow of the late Leo Cuthrell. She was a member of the Fairfield Christian Church and worked at the former Fairfield School for many years. Mrs. Cuthrell is survived by a son, Russell E. Cuthrell of Fairfield; a daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Nina) Gibbs of Engelhard; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren..."

He died on 1 Oct 1948 in Lake Landing, Hyde Co., North Carolina. He was buried on 2 Oct 1948 in Soule Cemetery, Swan Quarter, North Carolina.

He died on 24 Jul 1967. 8936 M iii Hugh Blair Gibbs was born 1 on 12 Dec 1914 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. He died on 13 Apr 1996 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. He was buried on 15 Apr 1996 in Soule Cemetery, Swan Quarter, North Carolina.
Hugh died at age 81 having never married. He was in WW 11. In later years he lived and took care of his Mother (Ella).He died of a heart attack but he had just discovered that he had cancer also. He went to the funeral home and made all the arrrangements for his own funeral.
His obituary reads:
Engelhard- Hugh Blair Gibbs, 81, died Saturday, April 13, at his home. Born in Lake Landing in 1914, he was the son of the late Early and Ella Mae Sadler Gibbs. Mr. Gibbs served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received five bronze service stars. He worked in the Norfolk shipyard as a civil service employee for several years and was a retired farmer. He was a member of Middletown Christian Church. Funeral services were held Monday at the family plot in Soule Cemetery in Swan Quarter. Steven Bryan officiated. Surviving are three brothers: Malcolm O. Gibbs of Rt. #1, Herbert S. Gibbs of Martinsville, Va., and Larry W. Gibbs of Portsmouth, Va.; four sisters: Hazel M.G. Silverthorne, Earline G. Jones, Ella Mae Cahoon and Marva G. Gibbs, all of Chesapeake, Va.; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Gibbs was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur Carl Gibbs in 1967. Hurbert served in the USNavy. He was in Pearl Harbor for the first bombing. He married late in life and very little is know of his wife. They lived aand he stills lives in Martinsville, Va.Hubert married Vivian. 8939 F vi Ella Louise Gibbs was born on 10 Oct 1922. 8940 M vii Malcolm Osmond Gibbs was born on 2 Jul 1925. He died on 15 Aug 2006. 8941 F viii Marva Leigh Gibbs was born on 19 Sep 1928. 8942 M ix Larry Wade Gibbs was born on 7 Feb 1933.
