A native of Guilford County, Mr. Pegram was born July 31, 1949, to Oscar and Bessie Pegram. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors are his wife, Tina Pegram of Liberty; daughters, Wendy Pegram and fiance, Brian Andrews of Greensboro, Brandy Webb of Greensboro, Stephanie Pegram of Liberty; parents, Oscar and Bessie Pegram of Greensboro; brother, Tom Carter of Greensboro; former wife, Debbie Virginia Williams; and grandchildren, Brittney Pegram, Brianna Andrews and Sydney Webb.

A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late William Bart and Annie Soyars Pegram and had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He was a retired Millwright with American Tobacco Company and a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Reidsville Moose Lodge, the Reidsville Recreation Boosters Club, the Secretary for Monday Night Bowling, and a former vice president of T.W.I.U. 192.
Surviving are his wife, Inez Estes Pegram of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, William Robert "Bill" Pegram and Robin C. Pegram and Richard Allen "Ricky" Pegram and Cheryl D. Pegram; brother, Joe Pegram; sister, Helen P. Holt; grandchildren, Hunter Pegram and Lauren Pegram, all of Reidsville.
