Mrs. Young was born in Montgomery County, September 23, 1894, the daughter of John B. Booth and Nannie Ligon Booth. Mrs. Young was a charter member of the St. Bethlehem Country Woman's Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, American Red Cross, and the National Association of Postmasters. She was active in the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, served as a Gray Lady during World ll, and was one of the first cheerleaders at Clarksville High School. She was a member of the original Land Grant families on her mother's side.
